Interior painting in San Bernardino County, CA
The prep is the job, and it is in your written scope
A licensed Class B general contractor for interior house painting across the West End and the High Desert. Repairs, texture matching and sealing are itemized rather than assumed, the colors and sheens are written down, and you walk the rooms with us before the last invoice.
Why homeowners hand us the whole house
Hiring a painting contractor for the inside of a house
Forty years of texture, patches and three different whites
Almost none of that is solved by paint. It is solved before the paint, and that is the part that separates two quotes with the same number on the bottom. Filling and sanding, matching the texture so the patch disappears instead of standing out under a lamp, sealing a water stain so it does not bleed back through in a month. That work is where your money goes, so we write it into the scope as its own lines and you can see exactly what you are buying.
What an interior house painting job covers
What the painting scope covers
Every line below is written into your scope before work starts, including the repairs, which is the half of a paint job nobody quotes properly.
- Furniture moved and covered, floors papered, and edges masked before anything is opened
- Nail holes, cracks and drywall damage filled, sanded and textured to match the wall
- Water stains, old repairs and bare patches sealed so they do not bleed back through
- Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and closet interiors, priced by what you want included
- Two finish coats in the sheens we agree, with the color codes written down for later
- Everything put back, the site cleaned, and a walkthrough with you before the last invoice
Start with the written scope
The next step is your job on paper
You have just read how the work runs. The next move is a walkthrough of your house, a written scope of what the job covers, and a schedule carrying the same stages. Ask for all three before you commit to anything.

My wife and I called Jerome directly at Socal Home Improvement. I heard him on KJLH Radio, Station advertising his business. When calling him, he set up an appointment to come out the same day, which was outstanding perfect. I must say on his arrival he was very professional and knew his job very well…

How your painting job runs
A written schedule, and what happens when a wall needs more than paint
Schedule of work
We come and look at the walls
We walk every room, find the texture types, the repairs and the stains, and ask what is staying and what is going. There is no charge for this and no expectation that you decide a color on the day.
You get the scope and the number
A written scope, a written schedule and a written number, with the repairs priced separately from the painting, and the rooms, colors and sheens listed out. Nothing is bought until you sign.
We paint it, and we put it back
Rooms done in an order that leaves you somewhere to live, furniture returned to where it was, and a walk through with you looking for the things you would find later anyway.
If we find something
Opening a wall sometimes turns up rot, old wiring, or a leak nobody knew about. When that happens the work stops and you get a written change order with the new scope and the new number. Nothing further is built until you sign it. You will never learn about an extra cost from the invoice.
Permits are pulled in the licensed name, CSLB # 1105333, and we meet the inspector. That is our job, not yours.
